If the Wheat Dies launch included an online poetry reading and discussion with Zhou Yaping and his translator Suzanne Zheng, attended by those interested in Chinese culture and publishing and international students of Chinese. There was an introduction by Paul Manfredi, Professor of Chinese at Pacific Lutheran University, author of Modern Poetry in China: A Visual-Verbal Dynamic and the event was hosted by Alicia Liu of Singing Grass.
This year the Children’s Media Conference - Focus on China: Making Stories Work, features Alicia Liu from Singing Grass on the Art of Storytelling in China, produced by LA based animation screenwriter Dan Wicksman and hosted by UK CMC Deputy Chair and creative director Sarah Baynes, in partnership with UK Department for International Trade.
